Dreamy Bathroom Lighting Ideas
Bathroom lighting has important role for the foundation of your bathroom statement. It can make your bathroom having certain atmosphere. Some of the lighting may give dreamy space. Dreamy is about a simple ceiling light in the bathroom. Jackie Dishner would like to give some ideas about it.
Add Layers

The trick to bathroom lighting and creating a dreamy or luxurious feel, says designer Scott Arthur Yerkey, who runs his own design company in Chicago, is to use multiple layers. Include makeup lighting along with wall sconces, place decorative ceiling lights over the tub area and light up any art displayed. In addition, add perimeter recessed lighting. For sparkle, he suggests crystal or glass.
Place It Right
San Francisco-based Warren Sheets of Warren Sheets Design says LED lighting is the perfect solution when looking to create a soft and dreamy glow in the master bath, but they have to be positioned correctly. Called “ambient,” this type of lighting works best when you want to light underneath the vanity (one that is a separate piece of furniture, on legs), on the sides of niches or shelving, and as cove lighting on the ceiling. Shade the Light

Add a Touch of Jewelry

Lonnie Unger, president of a Chicago-based design firm, Susan Fredman Design Group, says you can step outside the box. In this case, your bathroom;you can step outside the box. In this case, your bathroom; you can make it more elegant by thinking of what’s inside your jewelry box. “Add a touch of jewelry,” she says, such as beads. The beaded lighting in this space, along with its bold color, gives the room that unexpected yet elegant punch.
Bring Out the Crystal

In reference to a project her colleague Terri Crittenden designed, Lonnie says crystal chandeliers can move out of the dining room and into the bathroom for a dreamy touch. Just hang a crystal pendant over the sink and mirror to sprinkle a soft glow throughout the space.
Bring in Some Drama

For this powder room, designer Melissa Salamoff, principal of Salamoff Design Studio, wants to create something dramatic, something that would present a jewel-like effect. She opts to recess the mirror into the wall and add LED strip lighting at both the top and bottom. Bouncing off the mirror, the light presents a halo effect and the moody quality one might see in a Hollywood dressing room.
Spa It Up

Who doesn’t dream their master bath could feel like a world-class spa? With lighting, that luxurious feel can come through in a variety of ways, says Salamoff, by introducing a lot of light — as long as it’s all set to dimmer switches. And to get that soft glow that your long soaks call for, instead of recessed canisters, drop a soffit over the tub and incorporate indirect lighting, such as LED strips, above it.
Tone It Down

When you’re looking for a dreamy bathroom look, don’t get carried away with the design scheme, says Sarah Barnard of Sarah Barnard Design in Santa Monica, Calif. A fan of Nesson lighting products, she chooses two simple wall sconces that look like candlesticks to light the vanity area. Along with a dimmer switch, the white glass diffuses the light in the room, while a color palette of blues and grays set the mood.
