Glass House Design in Galicia, Spain
This glass house architecture is designed by Spanish architecture firm A-cero. This modern glass house has not only power but it has beauty. It is organized along a steep slope with wonderful views in every direction. To maximize on its spectacular surroundings, the house was designed with glass walls stretching between its massive concrete blocks. A travertine skin covers the exterior walls and in some cases, the interior, providing a chic contrast to the dark wood floors. The basement level, built into the hillside, boasts the bedrooms and bathrooms, a gym and parking garage. The main floor is an open-concept space occupied by a terrace and solarium. Three living levels are connected via a central staircase leading to a glass floor corridor at the top floor. Throughout the home, simplicity is an important part of a minimalist design where you’ll notice the lack of interior walls, beams, and even knobs and handles.
