Create an underwater wonderland on the walls. This is an easy wall treatment that brings a wave of nautical fun into a kids’ bathroom. Get on a ladder and draw a wave design with a pencil. Then using a fine-tip brush, paint around the edges. Fill in with a larger brush and roller, then bring in underwater creatures through coastal wall decor.

This mirror could be a DIY project if you have bags of starfish, a flat framed mirror, and hot glue.

Free-hand paint a big beach scene, or try something as simple as adding a stenciled sailboat, anchor, or helm wheel above each towel hook. (Personalize it for the kids in the house with their first names under each stenciled object.) Or stencil small starfish motif around a mirror. You can find many nautical themed stencils at craft stores.

Create a captain’s message board on the inside of your door. You and your kids can leave each other messages. I would write, “From your Captain: Spit toothpaste in the sink, not near the sink.”

Stencil on a design, or if you are artistic, paint something free hand, in the center of the cabinet doors! Use the pattern of nautical signal flags, or something as simple as just a few fish shapes or anchors down the face of the cabinets.
